Most of our customers find the lights easy to install. We recommend installing your Game of Bricks light kit after you have finished building your LEGO® set.
USB cable and battery box included. You can also use a power bank or USB wall adapter with an output no higher than 6 V.

If you ever need assistance or replacements after these initial 2 years, we've still got your back. Though we'll provide the components for free, there'll be a small shipping fee of 6 USD.

The LEGO® build
The curved bodywork of LEGO® Technic McLaren P1 42172 is only one part of its appeal. Beneath the 1:8-scale exterior are a V8 piston engine, suspension and a seven-speed gearbox with a shifter drum. Butterfly-style doors and an adjustable rear wing provide further details to explore once the model is built. The result invites two kinds of attention: a close look at the mechanical construction and a longer view of the car's silhouette. On a shelf, the low nose, sculpted sides and raised rear wing give the finished model a strong identity from either end.
The light kit
The lighting adds a different way to follow those lines. Bright front lamps draw attention to the nose, while cyan light beneath the car and across the rear accent the low bodywork. These are lighting features for the display; the model's mechanical functions belong to the LEGO build. Classic and Remote use the same light count. Both include a battery box, Game of Bricks packaging and online PDF installation instructions; Remote also includes lighting effects and a remote controller. The light kit is designed for set 42172; the LEGO® model is sold separately.
